This program provides comprehensive training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) with a focus on vascular applications, including carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, and abdominal vascular systems. Dr. Carrillo is responsible for curriculum design, academic oversight, clinical accuracy, and
competency validation. The program is developed under his supervision to ensure alignment
with evidence-based practice and international ultrasound education standards. 

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. Describe ultrasound physics and Doppler principles relevant to vascular imaging.
2. Identify normal vascular anatomy in carotid, peripheral, and abdominal regions.
3. Perform carotid ultrasound and interpret stenosis using velocity criteria.
4. Evaluate peripheral arterial flow using waveform analysis.
5. Perform venous ultrasound for DVT detection using compression techniques.
6. Assess venous insufficiency and reflux.
7. Evaluate abdominal vascular structures including aorta, portal vein, and IVC.
8. Recognize vascular pathologies such as aneurysm, thrombosis, and stenosis. 

9. Integrate ultrasound findings into clinical decision-making.
