• Course Title: POCUS Vascular Hands-On Training

This intensive hands-on training focuses on real-time vascular ultrasound scanning, including carotid, peripheral arterial, and venous systems. Participants will perform supervised examinations and apply Doppler techniques in clinical scenarios

Participants will:

1. Perform carotid ultrasound examinations 

2. Apply Doppler techniques accurately 

3. Evaluate arterial and venous flow 

4. Identify DVT and vascular abnormalities 

5. Optimize ultrasound image quality 

Day 1: Carotid + Arterial

• Carotid scanning (CCA, ICA, ECA) 

• Doppler spectral analysis 

• Velocity measurements (PSV/EDV) 

• Peripheral arterial scanning 

• Waveform interpretation  

Day 2: Venous (DVT + Insufficiency) 

• Venous anatomy  

• Compression technique 

• DVT protocol • Venous reflux evaluation 

• Doppler phasicity and augmentation

• 5 carotid scans 

• 5 arterial scans 

• 5 venous scans

• Direct observation 

• Image quality assessment 

• Doppler interpretation 

• Instructor feedback
